Life Events

Although the primary work of The Bishop's Ranch is hosting groups and individuals for retreats, as a ministry of the Diocese of California The Ranch is available for your most significant life events including, but not limited to, baptisms, weddings and memorials. Reach out to us below for more information.

Life Event Guidelines

Baptisms and Memorials

Baptisms and Memorials are offered through The Chapel of St. George, a Chapel Peculiar within the Diocese of California. Requests must be submitted to and approved by Father Brendan Williams and are primarily reserved for members of the Chapel of St. George or, occasionally, the broader Ranch Community.

  • Weddings that serve alcohol require overnight lodging at The Ranch or shuttle service and designated drivers.

  • Bartenders must be utilized to serve and monitor alcohol consumption. A designated sober, responsible party must be in attendance until the end of the event.
