Summer Camp Staff

The Bishop’s Ranch offers one intergenerational camp, three overnight youth camps, and one day camp (READ Camp). At our camps, we create a supportive community where campers learn about themselves and their peers through play, thoughtful discussions, and creative projects. They have opportunities to develop leadership skills, explore their spiritual lives, and deepen their connection to nature.

Counselor’s in Training (CIT)

This volunteer position is a great opportunity to learn new skills, gain childcare experience, give time and talents to the community and have some fun! CITs will earn 70 service learning hours per session of camp.

Ranch Hand

Ranch Hands take the lead in creating a welcoming, safe, fun and transformative camp experience for campers and staff. During intergenerational camp, Ranch Hands assist with setting up and executing programs, lead youth-specific activities and serve as support staff. During youth camps, Ranch Hands are first and foremost counselors, facilitating activities and small groups, keeping campers engaged and safe. They sleep in cabins and are responsible for the day to day care of campers. Ranch Hands need to be flexible, energetic, love working with kids, and willing to pitch in wherever needed.

Assistant Summer Camp Director

The Assistant Camp Director and Camp Director to create a safe, fun and transformative camp experience for campers and staff. The Assistant Camp Director will be an energetic, flexible and empathetic leader who will participate in program planning, guide the camp schedule, and lead staff. The Assistant Camp Director will liaise between the staff and the Camp Director.
